An exploration of the primacy of drawing: drawing as an alchemic, transmutational force. Centering parallels between the act of creating, deep time and the land.
The title of this installation draws on ideas of boundaries and rites of passage that emerge through my drawing practice, as well as academic research into the metaphysical dimensions of art‑making — altered states, creative “source,” and the origins of drawing.
